Rudy Gay is a professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs.


Born August 17, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Baltimore, Maryland


Played two seasons at the University of Connecticut before getting drafted 8th overall in the 2006 NBA Draft


Signed with the San Antonio Spurs in July, 2017

Off the court, Rudy dedicates his time to his many philanthropic endeavors. Throughout his tenure in Memphis, Gay was a longtime Hoops for St. Jude campaign ambassador, donating $22,222.22 in each of his last three seasons to support the program. In April of 2012, Gay was honored with the Kia NBA Cares Community Assist Award.

More recently, Rudy Gay has established the Flight 22 Foundation which benefits disadvantaged youth in the community.
